Maria Imm
Maria (Miss Maria) Imm’s #1 goal is to share the love she has for acrobats, tumbling and dance with her students through positive teaching methods. Maria has been following her life-long passion for teaching dance and tumbling for the past 27 years.
With a background of more than 18 years of training and competition, Miss Maria’s career has included training with two of Kansas City’s best-known and finest ballet instructors, Kathy Landsman and Linda Muer. Beginning at the age of 8, Maria has had top-notch instruction in ballet at the American Dance Center, USAG competitive gymnastics in Wichita, Kansas, Mid-America Gymnastics Academy and Elite Gymnastics Academy. She was also a dance minor at Kansas University.
Founder of the National Acrobat Competition (NAC), Miss Maria is the president of NAC from around the greater Kansas City metropolitan area. Her teams compete at NAC events each year.
Members of Miss Maria’s Premier Team (dance) have taken numerous top awards, both regionally and nationally.
As a certified member of USA Gymnastics in the Tumbling and Trampoline division, Miss Maria is the head coach for the the USAG Tumbling & Trampoline Team at Miss Maria’s. For the past 16 years, many of Miss Maria’s students have been awarded State and Regional Champion designations in Tumbling and Trampoline. Miss Maria’s has attended the Trampoline and Tumbling Junior Olympic National Championships each year since 1998, where many of Miss Maria’s team members have been honored as National Champions.
